Social Event

The presentation of this year´s International Conference on Networked Sensing Systems (INSS) in Braunschweig will be an exciting and very special event: not only does it constitute a big honor for the city which will be the first European venue of this international congress ever. This year's INSS will also offer some remarkable workshops, lectures, demonstrations and, as a noteworthy highlight, a social event which is planned for the evening of June 7 in nearby Wolfsburg.

Participants of the conference will be invited to the Autostadt, a famous theme park of Germany´s prominent motor manufacturer Volkswagen, who has for years been closely related to the region and, in particular, to the city of Wolfsburg.

The Autostadt, which is located directly next to Volkswagen's headquarter, attracts many thousand visitors daily to view and learn about Volkswagen brands such as Bentley, Audi and Lamborghini. It offers both entertainment and information - on car technologies, historical developments and future prospects. You shouldn't miss to visit this great theme park when being around in the region.

As we expect a highly international range of participants, the social event in Wolfsburg will provide a great occasion for our guests to see the theme park for the first time.

Our program schedule foresees a guided tour and a joint dinner in Wolfsburg.

After the conference program on Thursday, June 7th at around 4pm , we will organize a guided tour through the stunning architecture and multi-facetted attractions of the Autostadt.
You will get to see the different pavilions of the diverse VW car brands and experience some of the top sites of the park, such as "Investor Relations", "CarDesign Studio", "Zeithaus" ,and the astounding "Car Towers". We are sure that you will get an interesting overview and have an enjoyable and extremely captivating visit to the park.

After the park visit, we are planning to dinner together in a pleasant restaurant and have a guest from the Volkswagen management to give us more information about Volkswagen and the Autostadt. If things go well, we will be able to get some dinner tables at the Autostadt Lounge 3 and 4, where we will then be sitting together in the banquet room and enjoy a beautiful sight on the whole theme park while having a delicious meal. A great chance for getting into touch with peer scientists or other conference participants!
