What is a student volunteer?
Student Volunteers (SVs) are essential for any conference's success. Each
volunteer puts in several hours (usually a few hours each day of the
conference) to help with various conference management activities. These
include, but are not limited to, technical assistance in setting up conference
talks, helping conference speakers with stage preparation, manning the
registration desk, setting up posters and demo sessions, etc. As an SV, you
will have an opportunity to interact with the conference organizers and meet
researchers and students from all over the world. We are looking for committed
students who are passionate about research.
Who is eligible to be an SV?
Any full-time student may become an SV at INSS 2012. All undergraduate
(Bachelors), Masters, and PhD/Doctorate students are welcome. Remember to provide
us with your university details when applying.
What's in it for me?
In addition to meeting other researchers and students in the field, as a
student volunteer you will be receive a free registration for the complete INSS
2012 program and will be offered free lodging.
Note that for every accepted paper for the main technical track at least one author needs to pay a full registration. Additional authors may receive free registrations by volunteering.
